BAD BRUISE

Nyla took a header off the couch to the hard tile floor today. The tears eventually turned to smiles, and we were still able to visit Trier. Nyla and Grandma Barb had a great time together. We will miss her after she leaves tomorrow!

On Sunday, we took Grandma Barb to Rudesheim. She loved the scenery and atmosphere!

Grandma Barb and I went shopping today at Babies R Us. She bought me a bandanna which is all the crazy with German babies. I'm not too crazy about it though... I usually love hats, but I'm always trying to pull this off! I also got a new bath seat because I'm getting too big for the sink.

Our Day

in Rudesheim
Today we drove to Rudesheim, which is a touristy town on the Rhine River. We took the ferry across the Rhine, and then walked around town. We strolled down Drosselgasse, a popular street full of music, wine taverns, shops and restaurants. Then we road a cable car high in the sky over vineyards and countryside to the Niederwald Monument. This monument is of the mythical figure Germania and commemorates the German empire of 1870.
