Now that I can stand and cruise on the furniture, I'm also falling a lot more. Falls equal bruises on my forehead. Please don't call Child Protective Services on my mommy...she does her best to rescue me!

OUR VISIT TO ROTHENBURG

Rothenburg is about a two hour drive from where we live. The old town clock in the Market Square (Marktplatz) plays a scene every hour of the former mayor draining an enormous stein containing over three litres of wine while the Emperor's General looks on. In doing so, the town mayor is said to have saved Rothenburg from destruction.

Rothenburg is full of bakeries featuring the local specialty Schneeballen (snowballs). Schneeballen are pie crusts crumpled into a ball and topped with powdered sugar or sticky, sweet chocolate...very messy.
